Tűzkő Birtok is one of the oldest wineries in the country, and was owned by the Apponyi family for many years after its foundation. The history of the winery thus goes back to the 18th century, many buildings still in use today also date from these times, such as the granary, which is still the headquarters of the estate. The winery has an area of 250 hectares, of which 170 are vineyards, at an altitude of about 200 meters above sea level, within the Pannon Wine District.
